With one of the most anticipated new lines in goaltending in the recent years, Bauer has brought you one of the most engineered, designed, and technologically advanced line of gear. The Supreme S170 is packed with new features which strive to change the face of goaltending.
Based off of the One.7 design, the S170 pant is built of a 1 piece style where the top hip padding is sewn together to the lower portion. The weight of the pants is dramatically reduced compared to its predecessor. The pants come with a standard liner designed to reduce the heat your body produces while playing. The top hip protector comes with Bauer’s comfort edge which adds in comfort and broken in feel. The top hip section features sewn in front and back suspender rivets. Added new this year is an internal belt which allows the goalie to keep the pants tight on their body without losing any blocking shape between the arm and body.
Lastly, the S170 pant features protection in the hips and thigh to give the goalie the confidence they need. The thighs are a squared but NHL legal design lined with HD foam which creates a stiff feel. The floating hip protection segments nicely over the thigh of the pant when the goalie bends and moves around. The front pelvic protector is also lined with HD foam aiding in even more protection that a butterfly goalie would need.
